Sym2B was born in 2014 with the intent to offer innovative, versatile, compact heavy vehicle simulators, matching specific expectations of each customer, or even co-designed with him, while optimizing the production cost through an agile organization. As an innovative driving simulator company, Sym2B has the pioneering spirit promoted by Grenoble-Alpes.
Our driving simulators for heavy or special vehicles are designed for professional driver training, or for studies and research on the driver, the vehicle, and their interactions. We specialize in simulators for military vehicles, trucks (HGV, LGV) and buses/coachs, which help drivers in training develop the necessary skills to obtain their driver’s license: commercial driver’s license / CDL, passenger carrying vehicles / PVC license, C license, D license, etc.
Sym2B delivers turnkey simulators which are guaranteed at least for twelve months. Sym2B provides the installation, the training of the users, as well as the maintenance in operational condition for several years worldwide.
Our shareholders and collaborators have an average of more than 10 years of expertise in driving simulator systems and projects.
Their skills cover customer and supplier relations, planning as well as collaborative software development particularly on the technologies required by such simulators:
Our driving simulator company has benefited from 15 years of Research and Development on professional driving simulators, carried out within Corys company, the world leader in train driving simulators. The two companies are keeping their exchanges on innovative technologies. Corys can provide Sym2B with industrial support for large-scale projects.
We have collaborated with Trydea, a recognized supplier of software for the Defense and Police forces, on the project of driving simulators for military tanker trucks for the SEA (Service des Essences des Armées).
Sym2B is financially supported by the Banque Populaire Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and by BPI France with KPMG as the accounting expert.
Many innovations have been realized directly through new projects.
In addition, Sym2B, with the help of Linksium, has launched an R&D project with Inria Rhône-Alpes, to help the trainer in the assessment of driving skills related to information taking in risky situations. The results will be integrated into our professional driving simulators in 2021.
